The European Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation (EMTF), is working together with all traditional European Tang Soo Do organisations. The EMTF is based on respect and honesty and the thirst for knowledge.
Groups and individual dojangs can become an EMTF member by simply writing into the EMTF or to one of their designated representatives. There is no membership fee for the students and the dojang can continue to use its own syllabus and function independently, the students can also keep their membership from any other Tang Soo Doorganisation.

The European Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation was founded by Grandmaster Th. P. Salm and is directly linked to the Worldwide Tang Soo Do Family and stands for mutual humility, respect, co-operation and openness that allows a fertile environment for all members to grow within. The mission of the European Moo Duk Kwan Tang Soo Do Federation is to create a unified body of Tang Soo Do Organizations and Practitioners.
The key goal is to allow all dojangs, societies and clubs an umbrella organisation an opportunity allowing them the opportunity of dedicated themselves to preserving, perpetuating and promoting traditional ‘Tang Soo Do’ and to further its development and growth in line with the original and full concepts of KJN Th. P. Salm. In addition members should be allowed the open practice of traditional Tang Soo Do without any demands. There is no one person dictating to the members, they decide how much or how little they wish to participate without any obligations.
Continued co-operation within members leads to the exchange of knowledge and offers member schools the opportunity to further develop their own style and learn from the experience of others. The EMTF can act as an umbrella organisation that may help and supports development and open communication between member schools.
With regular seminars and tournaments both locally and internationally the EMTF can facilitate continued growth.
Member participation
The success of the EMTF depends on the participation of all the individual member schools. Member participation and more importantly a voice within the EMTF shows respect for all members and an offers an active opportunity for everyone to contribute to their own future.
Each member school has a say in the organisation of the EMTF. The EMTF team meets regularly to determine the course of the EMTF and to organise competitions, seminars, courses and dan-grade examinations as required.
How do you become a member?
You become a member of the EMTF by simply writing into the EMTF headquarters or through a designated representative and asking for school-membership. You will only be requested to wear an EMTF patch on your left arm if you desire. In doing so, all your students become members of the EMTF. The advantage of this is that your students will then be able to benefit directly from the facilities and material that the EMTF offers.
